This is a spring loaded hinge that allows your fence to be lifted STRAIGHT UP, off the steel tube.
When fence is reinstalled, there is no loss of position information.
Note: A custom readout bracket is needed for this kit to work. (If you order this kit at same time as ordering the DigiFence, our factory will supply the custom bracket.)
